Why crystalline in the UAE

Basements and podiums in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah sit in saline groundwater, and raft slabs are poured in heat that punishes membranes. A membrane is a separate layer that fails wherever it is punctured during backfill or later works; crystalline waterproofing cannot be punctured because it is the concrete.

Crystalline waterproofing works inside the concrete rather than on it. PENETRON ADMIX is added to the concrete at the time of batching, as powder at the plant, as a slurry into the truck mixer, or as ADMIX LIQUID with the mix water, so the waterproofing runs through the full thickness. PENETRON coating is applied to the surface of existing concrete. In both cases insoluble crystals fill the pores, capillaries and micro cracks, water can no longer pass, and the process restarts whenever water returns, so hairline cracks seal themselves.
